
I miss times like this....and climbing those rocks.
It's true. I have a confession to make: I Teeny, am missing the rock. Just 2 weeks ago, I was camping about, jumping all over, climbing them. Today, I am in beautiful Florida, hours from any sort of mountain.
To remedy this ailment (and First world problem) I've done a few things to fill the empty hole in my heart where camping and climbing outdoors once lived:
-Insanity Workouts
-Run a lot
-Yoga
-Climbed inside
Obviously, I'm trying to fill the void from climbing in the mountains. Though I can't plan another trip for a month or so, I conveniently planned a challenge to distract me: GORUCK. I talk about it a lot (Me talk? Never!) but it's just absurd! I'm still kind of shocked that I signed up for it. I mean 8-10 hours and 15-25 miles of a challenge all while carrying around a 20 lb sack? CRAZY!

Instead I'll be doing more runs with this on my back!
To train for it, I'm attempting any and every workout possible. Since I really don't know what to expect (straight from the Lead Cadre's mouth) I just want to have my cardio and strength up!

-Insert some rest? Papa does always preach it.....
Though I'm not climbing outdoors this week at least I'm keeping busy otherwise. Yay for cross training, running with sacks AND rock climbing. GORUCK, thanks for keeping my mind off the rock.
